So I think I am not so good at this whole journaling thing, but at least I have my gratitude journal, so I can remember the best things from each day! So… highlights… let’s see. March 1 Paul Harvey died (or at least that’s when I saw it on MSN). I went to Mass that night and volunteered with Minisha and Patrick to play flute. They were going to try to find one for me, and I’ll check in with them this Sunday. My AL375 prof emailed me articles for our paper, which was fantastic. I worked out and did Carmen Electra/yoga pretty much every day last week with Denysse and Emily. March 3rd was the Commencement Parade, which wasn’t really all that cool… except the Samba band was fantastic! My favorite was the guy with the pierced nipples that was wearing a corset with light up hearts over his crotch. After the parade we signed our name in the book for our school. Denysse and I have been making dinner together pretty regularly. We had meatballs and instant potatoes, and pasta, recently we made impossibly easy cheeseburger pie (and Australia doesn’t have bisquick, so we had to create our own—and quarter the recipe) and it was really GOOD! Tonight I made spaghetti, a baked potato, and had salad—all on my own without ANY help. I was very proud. I’ve been kinda sick, but I haven’t been feeling too sick, which is good. It’s pretty much my nose and throat, but it’s not too bad. Friday night Denysse came in and told me that we were going shopping in Perth Saturday so that they could find me clothes that are form-fitting. Going out clothes. I ended up getting a top (that I actually REALLY like), leggings, and a black jumper. The jumper’s cool ‘cause it’s very versatile and can be worn with or without a top. It’s kinda short though, so I want to find some shorts to wear underneath… spandex or something. I also bought a koala holding the Australian flag, and some eucalyptus lozenges, which I am incredibly grateful for, because they have been really helpful in the past few days. Sunday was a pretty good day as well. We went sea kayaking, and then had a picnic and went snorkeling off of Penguin Island. The penguins are so tiny! I really liked snorkeling. I’ve made tentative plans to go to New Zealand with Jami. I may be interested in skydiving (tandem) but probably not… I don’t know.
Okay, and skype wasn't working, 'cause UNDA blocked it, but we have it working now (at least temporarily) so talk it up with me now (while you still can)!
Oh, and look for an updated album on picasa pretty quick here. Caversham and snorkeling.
